Geez, what a night

I found out today that police can't arrest somebody, for their own protection, for wanting to kill themselves. The person has to specifically state that he or she wants to kill him or herself. If the person alludes to the act, it is not sufficient.

I think I helped somebody tonight. I may, however, have lost a friend. Screw it, I wasn't about to go around thinking that maybe I could have done something. I did something.
