Sorry, I forgot I posted here.

I really like my G1 now. It took a few weeks to get used to the "chin". It was hard to adjust when texting and I was close to getting a Blackberry Curve instead. I'm glad I waited; I love my phone now. I'm not a programming junkie or one of those people that have to have a super nerdy phone with all types of doo dads. I was considering the iphone, but I think that besides the thickness and weight of the G1, it definitely kicks the iphone's butt. The status bar on top is by far my favorite thing about the phone. You don't have to exit anything to check a text or email.

I have another idea. How about checking the date on a post? Blog posts typically outdate from the day they are written. Just a suggestion.

Cupcake might me a social network; but when referring to the G1, it is the upcoming update. We do not know when it will be sent out. Even after T-Mobile announces OTA updates, they do not go out at once. They are sent out randomly to each handset.

How are you liking your G1 so far?

I'm relatively new to my G1, only had it for a week. I thought Cupcake was this type of social network within the android community...in the Market, it describes Cupcake Lite as a place to chat and meet new people. Is this going to be the same thing??

Also, when is this OTA update supposed to be coming?

I've been reading about the next upgrade called Cupcake. I'm excited to have a touchscreen keyboard, which eliminates the need to flip the phone open so much.

It's nice to have a keyboard, but I can't help thinking that it's a part waiting to break from repeated use.

Also, the ability to record video is going to be awesome. Let me know how you like it when you get the update.

shaine.

the over the air updates are random and really quick and will happen even if you're roaming.

i drive an 18 wheeler and have had 3 already.

the phone just lights up and updates then reboots.

this even happened in an att area as well.

i can't wait for the next one and hopefully it will have wifi calling on it too.
