Sorry for the confusion. You need to save the TTYtter file on your shell account and launch it from your shell account once you log in. So, if your Powerbook is linux-ish, yes; you can log into your powerbook from the Sidekick. But you'll need to leave TTYter running on the Powerbook. Of course, if TTYter is on your Powerbook, then you can run a terminal there too.

Just to clarify, the only thing running on your Sidekick will be the terminal. TTYter itself will run on a remote computer somewhere. Think of it as a remote control computer.

I have not done this with a Sidekick as I don't own one right now; I have, however, owned one in the past. I have used the Sidekick Terminal for chat and IRC, which almost constitute the same thing as Twitter. It works.

Good luck.

Before I voice my problem, let me specify that I'm on the Sidekick I'D, which lacks the capabilities for extending storage via an SD card. -@lve followed you instructions (thoroughly) but I can't manage to save the ttytter text file to the Sidekick, and so I am stopped dead in my tracks. Is this necessary? Is it possible to save it using my Powerbook, then access it through the Sidekick's Terminal client? Have you seen in actually work on a Sidekick, or is this tutorial theoretical at this point? My sidekick tells me the ability to save through Lynx is "disabled." Is this true on all Sidekicks? I'd upgrade to the Sidekick 2008, if I could be sure that TTytter would work. P.S.- I'm new to the Terminal and all things Unix. Thanks for sparking my interest!
