I think we often get too serious about the value and meaning of generating online content. You can get caught up in getting everything “just right” to produce the next awesome video. We try to outdo ourselves with each new project. We should not forget that all of this is, in the end, simple entertainment.
I am going to create knock, knock jokes for a while. It’s content, right? And, if content really is king, I should see a large amount of popularity on the web. We can get into discussions as to whether this is dignified behavior by a geek later. My theory is that more people are likely to watch these little videos until the end where Revver puts their ads. It’s a numbers game. The more people who watch until the end, the more are likely to click on the ad. Theoretically, these micro-content videos should prove to be more profitable than the serious stuff.
What do you think?
