Christopher S. Penn makes stabilization equipment for handheld video

Christopher S. Penn wrote a post way back in June about making your own stabilization equipment for handheld video. As I am learning about photos and video, I start to appreciate some of the things that professionals can do well. One thing that is annoying to me when I watch my own videos is how jittery the images are. My camera is a cheap-o camera from Wal-Mart that does alright if I can keep it still long enough. Either my hands aren’t steady enough or the cameras are too light; or both.

I saw Penn’s rig back when he first posted it and I mentally filed it away for later use. Now I’ve made sufficient poor video, I can appreciate the value of such an economical solution to my unsteadiness.
