Can Blogs Become a Big Source of Jobs?

There is no doubt that good blogging is becoming a valuable skill in the workforce. Here is an article in the New York Times that touches on the subject. I have posted on this topic in the past. The article does weigh both sides of the issue. Some bloggers are cashing in on their skill while others are merely trickling in some cash here and there.

New Media in general is probably still too new for companies to know how to use effectively. It has taken a while for companies to figure out the value of a blog. It will likely take a while longer for companies to figure out how to use other forms of the new media like audio, video, and social networks. As marketing evolves to embrace the use of New Media, there is no doubt that blogs and podcasts will become staples of the industry.
