Thanks so much... I have predictive text on my HTC touch pro which was ridiculous since it also has a four row keyboard and thumb typing was easy. Anyway thanks to your help I found out how to turn it off. I used the FN key which must be the same as the ALT key.

The alarm is strange indeed. I use it a few times a week. After you dismiss the alarm, it will continue to sound. What I have to do is a 2 step process:
Go into Settings> Sounds> Alarm Clock, and set to None.

Then go into Setting> Clock and Alarm> Alarm, and set to off.

This is the only way I have been able to turn it off.

Thanks!

I'm glad I could help, Melonie. I've done more stuff to my Dash in case you have other issues with it.

Thanks for that great write up.

I'm using a dash running wm6 in Singapore and it works great.

I love the alarm on the dash because its damn loud and clear. Need that for waking up. Cheers.

I'm glad I could help. You also confirm for me that the alarm on the Dash is insane.

Thanks a ton for the post and threads. Even if you don't have the fix, you confirm that in fact you are not losing your mind with some of the extremely odd behavior such as the alarm. Just bought dash's for my wife and I and we love them. This info just makes it better. Thanks again.

There are a couple different memory problems. One is if your browser cache is not cleared, it will eat up all your memory. At that point, you will have to do a hard reset.

The memory leak that I was addressing gets resolved as soon as you reboot the phone. I guess that the difference is that one is storage memory and the other is working memory. I realize that on this phone it's the same memory, but they get treated differently.

I still don't know what causes the memory leak. I reboot the phone once every day or two anyway, so it doesn't become a big problem for me. I do also routinely empty the browser cache so that the phone doesn't lock up on me.
